Pictures from Ohio

Yes, we are alive and made it back home safe and sound on Sunday afternoon. No freak oil leaks or complications of any kind on this trip - thankfully!

Of course, driving through Chicago we were able to view the lovely skyline for longer than we would typically desire, but the traffic could have been a lot worse and since we were able to enjoy the modern convenience of air conditioning it really wasn't that bad.

Nathan Back, Dustin Webb and Aaron Englund hang the Resounding Voice banner during set-up at the Vets Memorial in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday afternoon.

With Resounding Voice's signature uniform including burgundy bow-ties the guys have had to learn a new art... though some have mastered the art of bow-tie tying better than others. Here Nathan Back assists Jonathan in readying himself for a busy day.

I'm not sure just what Luke said, but Jonathan appears dumbfounded.

In addition to running Resounding Voice, Josh took time on both Friday & Saturday to give a workshop with Jeremy on starting/managing a business.

Packing up Saturday evening after a busy and successful weekend.

Just as the guys were nearly finished with loading up the trailer the clouds broke loose with incredible rain, wind, and hail. Some vendors kept right on packing through the storm... we waited until it let up some before finishing.

Josiah helped hold the door for some of those still packing in the rain and was soaked through by the time we left for the hotel.

At CHEO's post-conference pizza party (to which we were graciously invited) arm wrestling was the entertainment of choice among the young men.

And for our dear friends who live down south, it is hot up here, too! Need I mention that we were sitting on I-90 in traffic when this picture was taken??

As requested by readers of this blog, a video of Joseph's ever popular "Blowtie" is now available by clicking Here! It is a 1.1MB File, so I hope that you have High Speed Internet.

Tip: To download it as a file (rather than open it in a media player), right click the link, and choose "Save Target As..." Now you will be able to save it as a normal file.

I was hoping to see a picture of Joseph's snazzy bow tie. It sure brought a smile to my face. :-) Do you have one?

The guys were working on a video clip to put up here. I'll check with them about that!

Nice pictures, I would like to see the "bow-tie" also.

Hey Everybody,

If you would like to see how I felt in that picture where Luke is saying the most nonsensical thing, just check the Random Photo of the Random Moment that was posted right before the Ohio Blog.

:-)

Jonathan,

Was this your last conference until next year?

I love all the pictures on ths blog especially the "dumbfounded" one. If only I could put pictures on my blog then it would be more easier for people to see what I am talking about.

Hello Miss Grimes,

Actually, no. Ohio was not our last conference for the year. In a couple weeks we'll be on the road again!

Between now and December at least one or two of us - and some times all of us - will travel to Pennsylvania, Virginia, Alabama, Texas (x3), Arizona, Washington state... I think that's all that's left for 2005! :)

Jessica,

Wow, that's alot of places that ya'll are going to. Does any of you like to travel? I love to travel but haven't been able to in a long while. Where and when in Pennsylvania are you going to? I'm thinking about going to PA for the HSLDA conference in Philadelphia (I think!) Well, talk to you again soon!

Most of us like travelling... although some do not! :)

We're planning on attending the Alliance and HSLDA conferences in Pennsylvannia this year, but we'll also be working in Philedelphia the following week on the Vision Forum Faith & Freedom Tour. I think we'll be pretty exhausted after those two weeks!

I know you all feel about being exhausted after 2 weeks. My mother used to be working with Teaching Home (Now called Alliance) and we would go to conferences sometimes for 2 weeks and it's always stressful for us. I've always loved to travel but only when it's going along really well!

Yup, I know your mother! Maybe we'll get to meet you in Philidelphia this year. (Though I'm sure we've *met* at some point before... were you in New Mexico with your Mom at the state convention a couple of years ago when we hit the cow??? I know she had one of you girls with her!)

You guessed correctly and yes, I was at the New Mexico convention. I loved it there and have always wanted to go back there! We probably didn't officially "met" but one of these days we will. Now you have to figure out which "Miss Grimes" that I am because there are 3 "Miss Grimes' "!
