The Car That Josh Drove

This is the car that Josh drove.

This is the suburban (preparing for towing) that leaked oil in New York, necessitating the use of the car that Josh drove.

This is the oil that leaked from the suburban that leaked oil in New York, necessitating the use of the car that Josh drove.

This is the trailer that was pulled by the suburban, that leaked the oil, necessitating the use of the car that Josh drove.

These are [some of] the guys who drove to the convention in New York, to which the trailer was pulled, by the suburban that leaked oil, and necessitated the use of the car that Josh drove.

This is the slow-business-time doodling of the guys who drove to the convention in New York, pulling the trailer, in the suburban that leaked oil, and rode in the car that Josh drove.

This is the hotel in which the guys who doodled stayed, while at the convention in New York, to which they pulled the trailer, in the suburban that leaked oil, necessitating the use of the car that Josh drove.

These are the guys having fun, who stayed at the hotel, who doodled while at the convention in New York, to which they pulled the trailer, in the suburban that leaked oil, necessitating the use of the car that Josh drove.

This is Caroline, who was picked up - with her parents - from Ohio, as the guys drove home after having fun at the hotel, doodling at the convention in New York, to which they pulled the trailer, fixing the suburban that leaked oil, which had necessitated the use of the car that Josh drove.

And THIS is Josh.

That is one hysterical post! Aren't blogs great?!

And, Josh - with that station wagon... Do you think you could have put any more weight on the back end of that vehicle?!?!?!

You had me laughing SO hard by the time I finished reading the account of "The Car that Josh Drove"!

I am glad they are all back, safe and sound.

Isn't it *fun* to own your own business, Josh?

Too bad Josh could not have kept the car that he drove as a memento of his trip and this very entertaining post.

Welcome back to all!

That was a great story. By the way who took those GREAT PICTURES, at least most of them?

Ryan - No, we already had two of the heavier guys in the back, because the lighter ones were getting car sick.

The first picture was taken after an afternoon of playing volleyball and football, so there were 8 very sweaty guys in that wagon, and on the way to the BBQ the windows did not work! Fortunately three of them did on the way back.

Speaking of the windows not working, the first toll both that we got to I had already learned that the windows didn't work, so I tried the door. Nope, the car had to be off for me to open it. So I pulled forward and Jonathan tried his window and then had to open his door to get the ticket. Of course, the guy in the toll booth was laughing by that time! As we pulled away one of the passengers commented to me: "Doesn't this hurt your image?" I said the I guess it does, but who cares? This is fun! I just told everyone that after this they could not complain as to how tight we were in the suburban.

The comforting thought about this car, was that if it were to brake down we could probably all get out and carry it back home!

Mrs. Kelly - Yes it is fun to own my own business, especially when you have friends to help you out. Mr. Holden called AAA for us to get a tow. As he was on the phone, he realized that here he was talking with this guy telling him that we were leaking oil, not sure where it was coming from or when it started, and in the not so background at the fair grounds there was the roar of a monster truck show that he had to talk over. "Yep, I don't know what happened (ROARRRRRRR) What was that? (ROARRR) Hold on a second let me walk a little further away...."

Mrs. Ortega - We decided that the picture would last a whole lot longer then the car itself!

Dear RV Crew Member,

We are glad that you, as one of the participants in the story, approve of this account of your adventure. Thank you for bringing to our attention the omission of any reference to the photographer. We hope we have satisfactorily remedied that error by adding a public acknowledgement of the photography of our friend, co-worker, movie star, country singer, "dorm mother," and moment-by-moment color commentator: the great Luke J. VonHolten.

Thanks, Luke!

Just to let you know, Joshua, when we saw you guys and stopped (we had the white 15-passenger van), we were in a hurry to get home because my sister was really sick with an infection but my mom said that we should stop and ask to see if you guys needed help. We are glad that we did because like my dad always says, "If it was us with a broken down vehicle, we would appreciate having somebody to come and help us, too." Well, I just wanted to say something in this blog.

God bless your family, friends who help you, your business, and whoever you may bless with your business!

Miss Grimes

P.S. Please pray for us, we are looking for a car (most likely a Toyota Corolla or some small car with great mileage and a great deal!). Thanks!

Miss Grimes,

You could probably pick up that Oldsmobile Wagon that we had really cheap!
