Doughnuts!

One advantage of growing families by marriage, is that we not only get wonderful new people added to our little family social circle, but we also get to enjoy their traditions! Sara brought us a fall tradition that we have quickly chose to adopt: Cider-Glazed-Pumpkin Doughnuts. So each November (for the last few years) we've gotten together to make (and eat) these yummy morsels.

Okay, I will admit, we didn't eat ALL of them ourselves - and we didn't eat ALL of them that day. We wrapped some up for neighbors, and shared them amongst the branches of the family.

Busy hands...

...of course, this sort of work brings a smile to everyone's face!

Girls Cook - Guys Eat. It's just part of life!

Mmmmm....

Of course, it was such a wonderful fall day that even with wonderful sights, smells and tastes in the kitchen we just couldn't stay in side all day...

Click here to watch a cute video Jonathan took of a Corrine & Winston playing in the leaves. C&W also spent the night at "Poppy and Grandma's house", and we woke up the next morning to this fellow walking around our house!

This is SO unfair!

We have NO doughnuts here, let alone cider glazed pumpkin ones!

And we don't have any cute little ones around in Bears "bunny tail" hats, either.

hrmpf.....feeling kind of left out of all the fun here! LOL!

Seriously, thanks for posting. The pics of the kiddos brought a smile to my heart. The pics of the doughnuts.....well, I can admire from afar and spare myself the calories!

Hello Erbers,

Is the recipe something that you are willing to share? Or, are you just teasing us with those pictures of doughnuts that look delicious? Dad has been hinting lately that he wants doughnuts : ) Please, will you share with us?

Hmmm... Three comments from the Kelly family on doughnuts... :-)

Mrs. Webb - Sorry! They were all gone by Sunday! Next time we'll have to let you know so you can come join us for some fresh ones...

Seargant family - Can you contact us via email (it's in our blogger profile)? I'd be happy to share the recipe.

Mrs. H, I'll send the recipe over to you as well! Hope you all enjoy it!

Oh, and Mrs. Kelly, could those Bears hats be hand-me-downs from Ryan & Justin? I know you gave us a bunch of winter stuff when you moved, and they might have been part of that stash...

The kids just saw the pictures. . . and they want to do it again!

Jeanine, or should I say Corrine and Winston. :-)

I've never heard a guy say that so much food in one picture made him sick... :)
