Today we received a piece of from the Chicago Tribune, but though was sent to our home address, the name in the "to" line was my great-grandfather's. He lived in Des Plaines, Illinois all of his life and died back in 1966 - and would have been well past 100 years old if he were still living today. How they managed to get his name connected with our address without noticing that he had passed away - or at least noticing that it has been over 40 years since he last subscribed (assuming that he did subscribe at one point) remains a mystery. I'm sure it is all part of the science of paperwork involved in running a large company.
But I think someone needs to update their records...
