Jonathan, et al,
That's a very good picture of Elmwood. The poor ol' stump hasn't been in such good condition for a while.
Two points of clarification on the post, though:
1. "It" not "he." :)
2. And for all of you out-of-staters, we are experiencing some dry weather of late, but that picture was taken... hmmm, maybe in fall of 2003? It is MUCH more verdant around here these days than that picture would indicate.
Fun to see someone else posting around here! :)
Jessica
Thanks for the clarification Jessica,
:-)
Jonathan
Verdant?!?!
LOL - Yes, that's a word commonly used by folks in East Texas...
Sorry to hear about the loss of our leafy friend.
Question - did "It" die a natural death or did "It" meet the edge of the assassins ax? (in other words, was Josh responsible :-)
Jeanine
IT met the edge of the assassin's ax, shovel, chain saw... and yes, Josh was responsible.
After a year+ of observation, he determined that it was officially in a permanently dead vegetative state, would never sprout leaves again, and thus ought to no longer disgrace our lovely yard!
:-)
Jessica
I liked that leafy stump, he was a landmark of the Erber-Yard. What did Josh have against my fine leafy friend, with those irresistible brown eyes, and beautiful smile?
I forgot, that the "afro," was simply stunning. Even if it was a bit thirsty.
I'm totally amazed that "It" could be deemed to be "in a permanently dead vegetative state, would never sprout leaves again" before "It" met "the assassin's ax, shovel, chain saw..." and afterwards be pictured with a beautiful leafy "afro". You know, you could make an urban legend out of Elmwood...
So which "friend" sacrificed the "hair" for the picture? ;o)
Y'all are fun. :oD
